Chemistry
5-MeO-DMT
Also known as: five-methoxy-dimethyltryptamine
A potent psychedelic tryptamine found naturally in the venom of the Sonoran Desert toad and in several plant species.
Often described as producing a more dissolution-oriented experience than N,N-DMT, with less visual content and more emphasis on ego dissolution and unity experiences. Found naturally in the venom of the Sonoran Desert toad (Bufo alvarius, now reclassified as Incilius alvarius) and in several plant species. Ethical concerns around toad harvesting have led to increased interest in synthetic production. The experience is often reported as among the most intense available, requiring careful preparation and skilled facilitation.
