Mescaline
A naturally occurring psychedelic alkaloid found in several cacti, most notably peyote and San Pedro.
One of the oldest known psychedelics, with evidence of human use dating back over 5,000 years. Found primarily in peyote (Lophophora williamsii) and San Pedro (Echinopsis pachanoi). It produces a long-lasting experience (8-12 hours) characterized by visual enhancement, emotional depth, and a sense of connection to the natural world. Peyote use is legally protected for members of the Native American Church in the United States, reflecting its deep cultural and spiritual significance.
