Purge

In traditional Amazonian frameworks, the purge is considered a form of cleansing or release rather than a side effect. It is often described as integral to the healing process, releasing physical and emotional blockages. The Spanish term "la purga" is commonly used even in English-language contexts. While vomiting is the most recognized form, purging can also manifest as crying, yawning, sweating, or trembling.
