Risk, Limits, and Critical Perspectives
Psychedelics carry real risks: cardiac strain, dangerous drug interactions (especially with SSRIs, lithium, MAOIs, tramadol), psychological harm from challenging experiences, and triggering or worsening conditions like psychosis and bipolar disorder in vulnerable individuals. They are also not a universal solution: many people who try them experience little benefit, and integration of difficult experiences requires resources not everyone has. This pillar covers the contraindications, harm-reduction practices, and limits of current evidence honestly.
